P. Thacher Worthen, Jr. appointed to First Commercial Board of Directors

Trussville, AL, August 31, 2015 – First Commercial Bank announced the appointment of Thacher Worthen to its Local Advisory Board in Birmingham.

Worthen is president and CEO of Schreiber, a leading global provider of wastewater treatment systems. Before joining Schreiber in 2008, Worthen was vice president of marketing of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. United, the largest privately-held Coca-Cola bottler in the United States.

Worthen joined Coca-Cola United in 1997 after earning his MBA from Vanderbilt. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was an All-American in lacrosse and water polo. Worthen serves on the board of the Waste Water Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (WWEMA), Mountain Brook Lacrosse Association, and served six years on the Shades Valley YMCA board.
